Moyo's MMD home.

About Me

I'm from SEA region, and I use Malay + English languages (with a lil bit of Mandarin but I need to brush it back).
I've been using MMD since 2009-2010, and still continue using it to this day. There are times that I wanted to quit using this archaic software, but I keep reminding myself that I'm mainly a hobbyist and I'm supposed to have fun.
Eventually I might move on to using Blender, but for now I'll keep sticking with this software.

I started using MMD because of Touhou Project as it was the first ever series I got into around 2007 or 2008, even before VOCALOID. I liked watching those videos featuring the Touhou models, and it had been my dream to make my own models of the characters. I've collected almost every single Touhou model I could find (actually I'm still doing it now lol) since I wanted to study them as references.
After that, I dabbled with PMD Editor (that was before it got updated to PMX Editor), recolouring and editing some models. Eventually, I moved to kitbashing models using various assets I could find, and that's what I've been doing in a decade before I moved to making my own assets and handmade models. I still remember my first ever kitbashed model was a LAT style Remilia (laughcry).

I never considered myself a part of the MMD community. Even if I looked like it, I was mainly on dA to share whatever I've made. But the community is very troublesome. so I distance myself from it.
I've gone through numerous handles (or names) because I didn't want past bad experiences attached to me due to my past model distributions. Truthfully, those were on me because I was still developing my frontal lobe during those times, so I couldn't think critically unlike today where I've learned to just be chill and forgiving to those who harassed me. I don't like conflicts anyway.
'Moyodescry' became my finalised name, and it's my last refresh (or restart).
(It was also because some stupid AI company stole my previous handle so I had no choice but to change to my current handle. Thinking about it back, I'm kinda grateful for that lol.)
Despite the experiences, there were still cool people that I've met and became friends with on dA, and I'm very thankful for them!

Now I'm mainly active on Bluesky and Tumblr, as well as this little corner I made, it made me very peaceful in sharing my future works without having to worry whatever opinions people will throw at me.
Using MMD is and will always supposed to be fun, and that's always been my vision!
